As a Software Engineer Intern (Data Engineering), you'll join the Commodities trading group to build data pipelines for the ingestion and analysis of datasets. The role entails working closely with senior data engineers and key stakeholders across both green field and established projects. Initially it will be focused on getting data to our analysts, with opportunities to help design and build the core data infrastructure used across the group as your experience grows. While your days will have you engrossed with complex quantitative trading projects, your evenings will be spent exploring the city with organized social events to truly discover what it’s like to live and work in Singapore.
How you will make an impact…
- Development of reliable ETL pipelines in Python
- Work on a small team alongside experienced engineers
- Regular direct contact with internal stakeholders
- Contribute to a mixture of both legacy and greenfield projects
What you bring to the team…
- Are pursuing a bachelor’s in computer science, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, mathematics or any related science discipline and have an expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028
- Knowledge and experience with:
- Relational databases (postgres preferred)
- Pandas
- Data engineering
- Exhibit excellent software development skills in Python and a deep curiosity to learn and absorb new technologies quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
