| Position Description | The appointed lecturer will design and teach a seminar that explores the dynamic intersections of religion, music, and social movements across diverse historical, cultural, and global contexts. The course may address topics such as music in religious activism and protest traditions; the role of sacred and secular sound in movements for racial, social, and political justice; global devotional performance practices; and the theological, ethical, and affective dimensions of musical expression in collective action. The instructor will be responsible for all aspects of course development and delivery, including syllabus design, weekly instruction, facilitation of discussion, and evaluation of student work. |

| Salary Range | $11,500 This is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible appointment for the Fall 2026 semester. Compensation is commensurate with experience and consistent with Harvard Divinity School policies. |
